Alongside its fundraising efforts for the Mindoreños, the event indicated the official return of face-to-face classes for the maroon-and-gold and also entailed a momentary break from months of continuous academic-related responsibilities.

Three students from the College of Education (CEDU) dominated the fun run, namely: Melbert Lloveras of SCI2-1 (BSED-Science); and classmates Jerome Lactanin (BPED) and Cj Snare Sobredo of ED1-1 (BPED) respectively. The trio came finishing the race within just minutes and only moments away from one another.

Besides the host college, faculty members and pupils from other departments took part in the oil spill fundraiser, which included those from the Colleges of Information and Communications Technology (CICT), Engineering (CoEng'g), and Education (CEDU), among others.

"Part ng na collect sa fun run will go to people affected by the oil spill and others will go to the CAS fund for future activities pa rin,” declared Mr. Daniel Deleniana, Overall Head for this year’s Bubble Fun Run.

Runners in the mentioned activity paid a 300-peso entry fee, along with a fun run shirt.
